Margaret,
Plant your seeds now and keep the pots outdoors. Be patient, because
it may take two or more years for the seed to germinate. In my
experience many Clematis and Paeonia have poor germination rates.
You can use the plastic bag method to speed up the cycles of cold and
warm. Alternate between room temperature and the fridge three months
at a time.
