A sikokianum

WAH!! My first A. sikokianum (planted last year) is blooming, but it's
facing THE WRONG WAY! (Away from the path). Will it always face this way,
or is it different every year?

P.S. the direction it's facing seems to have no connection to the direction
of the prevalent light source.
