Oenothera speciosa is known as "showy evening primrose..........2" wide soft
pink flowers on wiry stems. Plants may be invasive. from Rodales Perennials.
Also , I once bought a plant that I believe was labeled Oenothera
Siskyou.....mat be the same as speciosa. The following year I found it had
traveled....seed & root... far & wide. Needless to say that kind of thug was
not welcome in my garden. Might be fine for a meadow or roadside bank.
Could this be your problem primrose?
