Bob,
Quite correct! It is hard but not impossible to cross with other
daylilies. Seeding around and making unwanted crosses is not the problem.
It is impossible to keep it from spreading by rhizomes underground and
taking over any area it can. In favorable areas it is very vigorous, much
more so than the usual, well-behaved hybrid daylilies. It chokes them out.
