This is the recipe that Bob Solberg gave out at his class at Hosta college
this year. Bob also recommended a video by David Benner "Made in the Shade" I
thoroughly enjoyed his class. I will have to take some pictures of our moss
covered paths for you to see.
FYI
Grows in winter
your soil should be more acidic (PH of 6-5.5)
prep rocks by using vinegar
moss that grows on the ground does not grow on trees/rocks
moss that grows on the trees does not grow on the ground/ rocks
moss that grows on rocks...............
can you use egg whites on rocks to help make the recipe stick
you can use cheese cloth to help keep the recipe in place
keep it weeded (leaves...)
Recipe for moss:
2 CUPS MOSS
1 QT. BUTTERMILK
1 T KARO SYRUP
