from what the s&h ladies say, they're grown under a transparent, but solid
material, (plastic??) and as they hit the material, they make swooping
circles. judging from how tendrils grow in certain "polar" fashion, i would
assume that the shoots do something similar. (chinese wisteria and japanese
wisteria twine up a pole in different directions).
theyre pricey, and we see them on the bamboo robins all the time, when people
complain about them.
