Hi Marge,
That buttermilk thing is usually done in a blender. A good friend came home
one day to find her spouse blending up some moss mess and pouring it around
the rocked parts of the garden. Nearly a divorce.
I find true all that you quote from Schenk. We are hoping for less rain this
summer and therefore less moss in the garden. Walking around the
mountainsides here one does find some very interesting mosses and lichens.
Would that they stay up in the hills this year!
