I think you are supposed to change the water occasionally but that is all.
No food, no nothing. What I'm curious about is if it ever sprouts any
roots! I've seen them on the Web in tiny little bonsai bowls and pots and
doesn't look like there's room for roots.

I'm also curious to know if the shoots increase in length or not. I've
been surfing, and found one site that said they DO, and you can break off
pieces to give to friends (which is also good luck), and other that said
they NEVER get any bigger.

Margaret, it is not true bamboo but Dracaena sanderiana. Check it out at
