My Epimediums var. youngnaium 'roseum' have still not shown any signs of
life - this is zone 6b (or seven in my yard) and they were planted as
bareroot last fall in October in a mostly shaded bed that gets 1-2hrs of
direct sun a day the just bright light. The soil is a little clay but I
did try to amend it before adding them. One note: they seemed to have
been shipped dry in peat. Is that normal?
Is there still hope?

Hi Carmel:
Uproot the plant. See if there are any viable roots. If so, put the plant in
in a shallow container with a weak solution of Rapid-Gro or the like.
There may be hope!

P.S. As to sending plants, please do not make the mistake I done made. I sent
plants from London to my domicile in the U.S. and wrapped heavily wetted paper
towels around the roots. When they arrived only 5 days after I sent them
==celery!
Best to send things only SLIGHTLY moist!
