Hi everyone,
I am new to the list and wanted to take a minute to inroduce myself.
My name is Sue and I live in the foothills of NC. Zone 7. We just moved into
this house at the end of last summer. I spent the rest of the summer weeding
2 hours a day just to get things under control. I have a large mulched area
that rund the length of the house that is mostlys shaded. The previous
owners mulched it enough for sale but not enough to keep away weeds! Now I
have things almost under control and have a blank canvas to start with. It's
real exciting but a little intimidating also. I have never done more than
plant a few flowers. I'm doing a lot of reading. I have numerous plants on
my land near an old trailor sight. There are half a doxen small azalias that
I can move and probably a dozen hostas.
If anyone has ides on great plants to start with I'd love to hear it.
