The year that you plant a ligularia, you must water it profusely; however, I
have noticed that once a planting is established it does not wilt, as long as
you water at your regular rate.(1-inch of water/week.)
In my zone, the ligularias do quite well, but none get hot sunlight;however,
all get a healthy dose of morning and late afternoon light. The crucial time
is the first year.
