I'm overwhelmed

I just want to say thank you to everyone who convinced me to come back.  You
made me feel very welcome.  Perhaps I was rather thin-skinned.  I'll sure
give in another try.

For some gardening content:

A new flower appeared in my garden.  It's about two feet tall, has very
wispy branching stems and foliage and has 1/2 inch clusters of yellow,
daisylike blooms.  Ideas?

Also, about the previous flower I mentioned it was suggested to me that it
might be clarkia or california poppy.  While those are very similar I don't
think they're quite right.  Pictures aren't possible of this one because it
has since faded.
