Every year I have extensive damage from Earwigs. They can eat flowers off a
plant overnight, and can scallop every leaf of a euonymus in a heartbeat.
There are some cute folk remedies: hang a pot of straw upside down and burn
the contents every couple days; put an 8" length of hose out and empty it
into soapy water every couple days.
Does anyone use these to success? (I tried the straw thing and am not
convinced it made a difference.) Or have any more sure-fire ways to deal
with this nasty bug?
Thanks!
