Cajun: Do you remember if it was an Alocasia or Colocasia?  I've never seen a
Colocasia with red but I have seen an Alocasia with a purple metallic color.
Take a look at this website:

Here you can look at many Alocasia's and a couple of Colocasia's.....let me
know if it is one of these.
