Endor

Nancy,

I'm really sorry that I couldn't let you know earlier yesterday about the
program's new schedule. Their 5-page fax includes much more information
about the show and how they intend to cover Endor. Do you have a fax?

The explanation for the scattered logs may be the flash flooding last
weekend. A neighbor said she herself retrieved one from the middle of the
overpass.

Other than that, there has been no damage. I think we're holding at 15%
attrition for the new shrubs - much worse than last summer, but the
conditions were harsher and the species were different. Except for two
clethra in the island, and two barberry that were probably cooking under a
heavy blanket of new woodchips, the ones that didn't make it are those where
the hose didn't quite reach. I can't assess the loss of perennials, because
hopefully some that have disappeared will return next year.

There is still a lot of Bulfamante's topsoil at the top of the step slope.
Any thought were we should use it?

Hilary
