I have a problem

I have been trying to get off this mailing for a while now and nothing I do
works. I keep
getting mail,  and I've tried the method of sending that particular message
to that
particular address several times.

Now, I have a new problem: when I try to ask folks what I'm doing wrong,
the mailer thing rejects my posts because "they look like a command," which
is why I'm using such stilted language in this post, avoiding all the words
which might look like a command.  This is my third try to ask for help.
