I have Ligularia dentata 'Desdemona' in deep shade in a corner by my front
porch and it is happy. They like water and will wilt terribly in any direct
sunlight. Rodgersia probably would be good too. Both plants are large,
hardy and deciduous.

Any suggestions for a plant right by my house, in a corner where deep
snow collects from the roof in winter, and would crush something which
is not deciduous. It is in total shade also, and needs to be hardy to
Zone 7 at least.
