Oh, thank you for striking fresh terror in my heart.  I got a 43-step
written instruction this morning from Gateway.  I had already figured out a
workaround, though I hate Netscape like everything.  As long as I don't need
to use their mail program I can hang in there.

I'm going to see if a fresh CD of Internet Explorer won't just paste over
the damaged goods.  Who knows?  It might work.  We used to upgrade versions
of IE with some frequency and it did the job itself, as I recall.
