Well, Bobbi, it's rather of a weed for me; prefers growing in the
gravel drive and in paving cracks in spots that get at least some sun
during part of the day. I have been known to dig or yank them out
and replant in a border and they seem to grow on OK with this rough
treatment, although the really prefer growing in the gravel; tough
little plants, but not necessarily individually long-lived, I think -
hard to tell as mine seed around so heavily.

Where they grow in my patio and walkways, I find I need to go around
and cut them back - or at least the flowering stems - in midsummer as
they get rather ratty looking as they are setting seed. They are
fairly deep-rooted for such small plants; hard to pull successfully
if you're trying to remove them from gravel or a paving crack; they
grow back.

With their grass-like foliage, I'd think they'd be a nice partner to
one of the mini hostas; nice foliage contrast - tho' I have not put
them with my few tiny hosta. I rather enjoy them with the dark
purple form of Ajuga and the golden Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea'..
Mine also seem quite happy sharing space in paving cracks with
Alchemilla mollis, who does not get as large as it can when it grows
in a paving crack, so doesn't overpower the blue-eyed grass.
