Re: august, a bit long

Bobbi,
Right now I have the 2 skullcaps in bloom in the garden. I also have
several species of Gentiana in various shades of blue. More to come as fall
approaches. Monkshood are beginning to break bud, so will not be long
now.... they will go all the way into November with blooms... Gentiana will
bloom into December. Fall blooming anemone sure are colorful. Have 4
cultivars and hybrids out there now, looking for space to add 2 more new
ones. A semi-double and a species with unusual foliage. Turtlehead -
Chelone - is in bloom with pink on one species and white on another stand.
Believe it or not, a primula is in bloom now from the cool nights we have
been having. Aster has been in bloom for the past 6 weeks and more to come.
I happened to like the ones with smaller heights. Geranium Rozanne lives up
to all the hype.. been in bloom since May and still in bloom... will be come
October. And heavy bloom... not just a scattering. Lobelia are in bloom,
both great blue and the cardinal, along with a cultivar called Ruby
Slippers.
All I can remember now with only one cup of hot tea....
