Re: cornus canadensis

Hi All,
I have a friend who has been camping all over west Rockies area and she sent
me a bunch on cornus canadensis berries to try to germinate. Has anyone had
any success with these? I have read a couple of books and one says to remove
the pulp from the seeds and plant in a moist soil. The author said it may take
2-3 years for them to germinate. I thought I'd have the best luck putting
them in a moist spot in my garden and protect them from critters with screen. I
might sow some in flats too, and leave out over winter. If anyone has any
suggestions, I would sure like to hear them. Thanks.
