Hi Cyan,
I hope John jumps in here with more suggestions, but I don't know of a way
to change the color of your orange daylily blossoms.
You are right about the great foliage a daylily clump eventually presents,
and you may simply want to cut the scapes as they appear and enjoy the
plant for its foliage alone.
