AHA!
A point well taken....
Daylilies are sun loving plants that sometimes tolerate shade. They
DO grow in shade, but bloom better in the sun!
I am sorry to say that I am really opposed to the old myth of
daylilies growing in shade....I know that is blunt, but, grow? yes.
blooms? some. Give them more fertilizer to help. I have some in
shade that LEAN so far out that they almost flop to the ground
hunting for light....
And many of the darker colors hold up better with AFTERNOON shade.
They do not slick (take in too much watery look) or fade. But this
is light shade, or late shade...
