Hello Bobbie,
Just a guess here, but I am thinking from your description that air
circulation is the problem. I have quite a few hybrids here in my garden
and some are listed as prone to mildew. I have not see mildew on any of my
plants in all the years I have had them (knock on wood). The last two years
were nothing but wet and cool all spring with almost no sun. If they were
going to get mildew they certainly should have then. My garden is on the
north side of a hill, but open to the west where all our winds and weather
comes from. Things do tend to dry our good on the hillside. Also air flows
downward in the AM.
When planting any Lungwort I always dig in lots of compost and mulch with
chopped leaves to retain the moisture.
Incidentally, there are more bloom colors than the pink and blue
combination. Some stay red or pink, some start and stay blue. There is also
white.
Which ones did you purchase for resale? Do you have a nursery? Inquiring
minds want to know more.
