Re: [SG] concrete forms

Hi Kay:

The woman that spoke at the Symphony In Bloom last March was Rebecca
from Rebecca's Garden - www.rebeccasgarden.com

I have an extra hand-out flyer if you want it. It explains the whole
procedure. She mentions using a pie tin but it also needs to be 2
inches deep and I really do not think a pie tin is that deep. I know
there are cake tins that are slightly beveled. I can't remember what
she was using that day but she had three or four volunteers from the
audience that made these stepping stone as she gave her lecture. It
was a fun thing.

I know there is such a thing as a six sided pie tin as my mom had one.
That would be a nice variance from round. I can't think of other
types of pans that would work but there has to be others. I know she
said to coat the mold with petroleum jelly or cooking spray. This
makes it easier to get the stone out once it is cured. She also uses
a product called Quickrete. For questions about Quickrete call 1-800-
282-5828.
The ratio of Quickrete and water is 1 cup water/6 cups of Quickrete.

Send me you snail/mail address and I'll send you a copy of this flyer.
If there is enough response for this instruction sheet, I will type
it out and send it to everyone.

Only your imagination will limit the shapes and designs that can be
made.

Good luck
