Hi Karen & Group,
I have to take issue with a few of the "Deer Proof" plants that
Karen noted in her missive.
Solomon Seal - both true and false, Mountain Laurel, Sassafras and
hemlock are all heavily foraged by deer as is cranebill -
geranium. Columbine has been tasted, but found wanting. The young
fronds of ostrich Fern have been eastern as has the young fronds
of other ferns, especially the Osmundas.
