I agree with Gene about trying to get plants locally, to get bigger
ones.  I am in Northern California and I do have good luck with plants
shipped from Oregon nurseries.  Forest Farm sends me large gallon size
plants, sometimes amazingly tall ones packed upright so skillfully they
dont seem to mind about  the shipping.  I think they could ship well to
others states also.  And the shipping costs are reasonable, with
multiples of 4 gallons shipped together economically.
