Merry Christmas to all from us in Westfield, Indiana. We have a white
Christmas here too, somewhere between 4 and 8 inches probably. The wind
has blown it around enough that it's hard to say how much fell.
The white mulch is a welcome addition to the flower beds and the cold
frames. The place looks like a wonderland!
We are looking forward to the bloom of the Cyclamen coum in the greenhouse
-- plenty of buds are already showing. Then should come the Clivia
blooms. Clivia, you know, is another perfectly good shade garden plant,
where it doesn't frost. Primrose seedlings in the greenhouse are coming
along, with Primula denticulata doing very well from seed planted a year
ago. P. cortusoides is very slow!
