[PRIMROSES] Introduction

Hi:

Since I am one of the co-list owners, thought it was time I introduced
myself. I collect hostas, hardy geraniums, and am just starting with
primroses. My main garden, which you can peak at here:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Acres/1945/topiary.html includes a
busboy tray water garden with water lettuce and water hyacinth. I've
also started a row of gooseneck loosestrife and several clumps of
oriental lilies. I enjoy creating stuffed topiary scenes for the annual
garden contest. All in all, I think it looks good for a garden that
gets very little full sun. It also had some campanulas and mums that
didn't show up well in the pictures. I've tried to make the focus of
this garden foliage rather than flowers so my topiaries show up better.

Any suggestions for some colorful flowers that would be blooming in
August?

I've just read an article in the Country Living Garden Magazine about
pulmonarias and hope to try one or two this year. I planted my front
garden last year with the idea that I wouldn't have to do much in the
future. Digging holes for plants has become impossible physically and
it gets hard to bribe my son to do it for me.

Happy Holidays to you!
