Marge,
I have a book with quite an impressive section on primula. It's in the
Random House Book of Early Perennials. The book runs about $27, and you
really need both the Early and Late volumes, not necessarily for the
primula, but because you won't be able to stand not having both books.
I use it constantly at the front desk at the greenhouse.
Check your local library. Ours has it.
