Hi to all;
My name is Jack and my partner`s name is Gary. We live in Chimacum, WA on the Olympic peninsula - Zone 7 and own Naylor Creek Nursery. We grow Hostas and other shade tolerant plants. We are especially interested in Epimediums and Pulmonarias, but Hosta are our main sickness!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends and that 99 brings good things to all.
We are defrosting from a week of temperatures in the teens. Didn`t get hit with snow this time just went right into rain. Two years ago we had 24" of wet, heavy snow in 8 hours that did alot of damage. Now the rivers and creeks have flood warnings up. Thank God we`re on high ground.
Our hope in joining shadegardens is to learn what others are doing and growing around the country. Sometimes we feel we`re on the outer edges of the universe. We have many knowledgable folks in the NW, but never seem to have the time to spend visiting.
