Hi Claire,
Fewer and fewer garden sites, and others, are appearing on the search engines
because we will not pay for the privilege of appearing on their engine. Many of
the large search engines demand payment to show up at the top of their list when
you make a search. Just that they do not tell you that you are only reaching those
large enough to afford that kind of advertising. As a small business owner who
likes to think he has a bone or two of honesty in his skeleton this one kind of
ticks me off.
Garden.co I have visited a few times. Have not spent much time there, nor
purchased anything. I looked into advertising with them, but found (if I read it
correctly) I could not afford them. Many charge by the number of hits you get....
problem with that one is a very high percentage will make a hit ... and keep on
moving to the next site. Very low percentage of people who look on the internet
actually purchase.
I do receive a monthly update from them automatically in my email.
