There are several on-line "garden centres". If for example, you want to
know how much garden.com sold in the last quarter, you can go to NASDAQ and
get their prospectus. The numbers are there. I'm not sure competitors like
Burpee.com are there as I haven't checked. Private companies of course hold
this information quite close.
As a general rule of thumb, I suspect garden.com is one of the largest
on-line retailers of general garden stuff in that they advertise most
heavily and have raised the most amount of money through stock offerings
(106 million and counting).
Their sales however are still below those of a medium sized, urban garden
centre in the real world.
