Sure brightens up my dark areas with it's blue-ish grey foliage. Most of
what I read says that this plant is full sun, but here in my zone 9 this
plant does beautiful in high shade-----does get a bit of dappled sun in the
late afternoon. I do not know how winter hardy this plant is but in a zone 9
"harsh" winter it did remain evergreen. >>
Hi Katy,
Here in zone 4 Minnesota it's treated as an annual, but I think it's a zone 5
plant. I did buy a lonely looking one at K-Mart last summer and it turned
out beautiful in my afternoon sun garden. I mulched it heavily and I'm
hoping that it will survive our mild winter this year (so far, anyway :o).
Thanks for the idea of how to use it to brighten up part shade.
