Hi Cajun Joe I agree with you, and appreciate you bringing this subject out in the open. I am constantly going to my search to find about the named plant , then discover that I, in fact do know that plant. I would also add that it has been educational for me. I have now learned the botanaical name for several of the plants that I only otherwise knew the common name. so it hasn't been all bad. one of the things I have also learned is that common names differ in differant parts of the country. one thing about botanical names, they are the same all over. I do believe that posting the botanical name with the common name, might speed my education up a bit, and the effort on everyones part would be appreciated by all of us that are still in the learning mode.
