As Paul said, this is a plant that really likes full sun. In my
garden, it gets what passes for that, although it really isn't. I
guess it's getting about 4 or 5 hours of direct sun during the middle
of the day. Seems to be able to deal with that. There is open sky
above it - no overhanging trees or shrubs.
