Re: Germander Hedge in Partial Shade

A long time ago I bought some tiny germanders from Bluestone Perennials.
Maybe six--and one survived for many years but never looked like much or
even grew--in morning sun, afternoon shade. I realize now that that was
the wrong location but it was a sheltered area and I thought it needed
more protection than it evidently does.

I am trying it again (a locally grown plant) in my new herb garden, in
full sun, out in the open. It looks good and I may try to get some more.
The moral is, no shade for this one. It IS considered an herb, is it not?

Does Bluestone still exist? Do they still sell germander? I never see it
in local nurseries. The locally grown plant came from my garden club plant
sale and I have no idea who provided it. Maybe I should put an ad in the
newsletter?

Thanks for all the Fuchsia info. Extremely helpful! We may try
Forestfarm.
