Funny you should ask about Skunk Cabbage, Cindy. I was just
checking my wildflower log this evening and they will be coming
into bloom here around mid- to late- February.
I know most people consider them weeds, but I must confess to
loving the texture and color of those great leaves. If you have
a Wildflower Society near you, they will likely know where to
obtain plants. Nearly everywhere I have lived has had a section
of wet woodland so I've always had them as natives, along with
jewelweed at the wet woods edge.
I wager there is someplace nearby that would give you permission
to dig a few babies up.
