   Re: vinegar on slugs ----
Try rubbing alchohol  I've used it straight, but it might be dilutable
---  spray it early in the morning on Hostas, Crambe, Ligularia, etc.
all the plants slugs love to munch on -- it works-I've never tried it on
aphids -- if you do, let us know.
