Hi Elaine,
You could grow vinca -- it comes in many varieties --with white, violet
and wine colored flowers of varying sizes. There are also variegated
forms, with white or yellow edgings. Ajuga is another wonderful
groundcover, available in many colors and sizes. There are leaf forms
of green bronze, variegated with purple, pink and white, silver and
read. The flower colors available are white, blue and pink. I waould
alos suggest Hedera ( Ivy) - again, many colors and teaxtural forms.
Heuchera, Tellima, Tiarella, dwarf forms of Euonymous, Lamium, many
evergreen Ferns, Arcostaphylos, Microbiata decussata, Joseph Hill
Azaleas, Sarcoccoca, Rubus calcynoides,Waldensteinia, Liriope -- all are
good choices.
