Welcome to the Shade Gardening RR, Carolyn;
Your "intro" revealed that you are retired from U.S. West. Gardening is
a great way to work out all the little frustrations left after a
challenging career there.
Although I am now working for Lucent Technologies, I put in 20 years at
U.S. West. Most of my good friends have taken a buy-out, or retired,
like you, and are happy doing other things.
You mentioned that you are looking for new hostas this year. My husband
and I have a perennial nursery, with 141 hostas and 186 perennials
available this year. We are in Glenwood, Iowa - across the state from
you. My catalogs are being mailed this week. If you would like one,
email me your address and I'll send you one.
Happy gardening - whenever winter finally leaves us!
