I am a New Englander, and have a most favorite nursey...It is called
Blanchette's and is in Carlisle, Massachusetts, not too far from
Boston. One of the things I love about it is that it caters to shade
gardeners, not that this is all it carries, but they have LOADS of
plants for those of us without loads of sun....something that I find
seriously missing in a lot of other garden centers, where often the
shade stuff is relegated to one or two tables. Here, they have rows
and rows and rows of shade things.....It is here that I first found
mazus reptans, which I love, even though it never did come back for
me.
So, if any of you get up this way, be sure to let me know in advance,
and you would be most welcome to come and visit my little Eden for a
cup of tea, and then I would be more than happy to show you
Blanchette's.
Oh, and just remembered, there is also right near there a nursey that
has just hostas and daylilies....... a huge field filled with all
sorts of daylilies....most of these require more sun than I have, so I
only go to drool.
