Clyde et al.: I'll put in my two cents. My bergenias really languished in a
bed of nice amended clay soil that gets two to three hours of strong
(midday) sunlight a day. But when I moved them to my worst spot (unamended
clay soil, no direct sunlight, terrible circulation) where only corydalis
lutea and epimediums have survived, they really took off. Go figure.
The "unkillable" plant I can't grow is pulmonaria.
