Re: [SG] Canadian Hemlock

Canadian hemlock makes a great fence. They grow pretty fast ( I bought some
little ones, about 2-3 feet tall five years ago and they are approaching 6-8
feet). They will grow anywhere, very little sun and dry conditions. With
better care and more sun, they should grow even faster. I am growing them for
a living fence in a deeply shaded area in my garden and they look great. The
only problem I have noticed is that the deer like them. I have only have them
eat one in a particular location, however. I love hemlocks and could have
them all over.

 would work in my zone
which is 8. Also the area is 160 feet, so I'm figuring I will need around a
100 of these plants. Does anybody know how fast these grow? In today's mail
I got a Burgess catalog, amazingly they have these in there, relatively
cheap.
Has anybody done business with them, are they a good company to go with?
