Signs of spring

Bobbie, naturally I remember you. Congratulations on your successful
return to SG. You say winter has arrived in New England. Well, it's not
made it to the Midwest! A quick tour of my yard today revealed a clump of
full-size trumpet daffodils in heavy bud, looking as if they are just
about to bloom, and snowdrops in several spots up and showing color.
Sometimes in mild winters I have seen snowdrops up at the END of January,
and sometimes I see early miniature daffs blooming in early February-- but
this is ridiculous!

It looks as if our drought is going to continue into the new year. We've
had just one snowfall so far--right around Xmas. The weather in Indiana is
always weird, and my philosophy is to try to ignore it and not worry.
