plants from Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.

We have a Lowe's in our area but no Home Depot. I don't think I've ever
been in a Home Depot, so hope that someone will enlighten me.

Our Lowe's does have a large selection of trees and shrubs and perennials,
but I tend to do a lot of looking and little if any buying there. I
actually have had better luck finding plants at K-Mart, and mostly from
specialist nurseries both local and mailorder. But I've found some well
made and inexpensive garden tools at Lowe's and it's always fun to look at
the garden furnishings (swings, statues, birdbaths, trellises etc).

Do fellow Shadegardeners feel that the two chains are approximately equal
in terms of quantity and variety of plant material offered? Or is Home
Depot actually better?
