Hi Diane and all,
Funny that you should mention the unusual varieties that you might find in
another part of the country....
Here in New England, I have only seen the regular old green English? ivy.
Actually, I see a lot of it! Here on my land. As I am clearing a woodland
quarter acre...less scrub and trees, the ivy took off! And I am faced with
what to do about it as I am looking for a more varied hort growing area!!
But, back to the point...while out in Ohio visiting Steve Moldovan this past
summer, I saw a great blue/green and off white/yellow variety covering a
large area. I drooled! Now knowing that he must be zone 5, I just have to
find this one to plant locally. He was too busy at that time, and heck, if
I had started asking questions, it would have been about daylilies that he
hybridized, unusual trees and shrubs that he collected, and yes, maybe,
could I have a cutting or two of this ivy. <BG>
Anyone else out there have a clue?
