Colocasia?

Speaking of catalogs, I just saw a Black Magic Elephant's Ears
(Colocasia) which says it is hardy to Zone 7 and perhaps colder.  I have
never planted one of these here in Z 7 but this one looks tempting.  Can
anyone tell me how hardy it is for them?  I know other Colocasias are
not so hardy.
