Yes, villose means soft hairs, technically the hairs are long and stand out
from the leaves and stems-meaning they are not laying down (Tomentosa) or
tangled (Arachnoid) There are a hundred or more terms for plant hairiness.

Heuchera villosa has villous stems and leaf veins.
