Kay, are you sure the grower doesn't take credit cards? Most overseas
businesses seem to, and that's always worked fine for me.
Re the variations in post office service, I guess that's free enterprise
at work in the 21st century! The employees are free to be enterprising, or
not, as they wish.
Just for fun, next time I'm in there I think I'll ask what the procedure
is for obtaining an international money order and see what the reaction
is. Actually, we have so many foreign students here that I bet it is
feasible.
